This is based upon the American Association of Medical Transcription (AAMT) guidelines:1 Line of text = 65 Characters with spacingUsing Microsoft Word it is therefore very easy to calculate the line count for any given document.Using the "Word Count" under the "Tools" option the total number of characters can be counted.

This figure is then divided by 65 to give the total number of lines (e.g. a document with a total of 1405 characters would have a total of 21.6 lines - 1405/65).

Our rates are up to 20% lower than other transcription companies. Omnimedical will offer discounts on this rate for large volumes of transcription work.
